Thornhill is the name given to the bump between Whonnock and Albion, just North of Lougheed Hwy. With ample trails the hill is divided in half, mountain biking and hiking on the westside, equestrian trials on the eastside. Being central to the large Albion community this location is used quite popular for anytime hikers and bikers. Close to town with varied degree of trail difficulties Thornhill makes for a great day trip!
Things to Do:
[tabwrap][tab title=”Mountain Biking”]A mix of novice and beginner trails lace the hillside. You will see roots, sharp turns, bunny hops, and some structure.
More info coming soon![/tab][tab title=”Hiking”]Keeping in mind this is a well known and well used mountain biking trail, cautious hikers and trail runners can still get a great burn in. Stick to the more manicured trails to avoid the bikers. This is an on-leash dog area but it is common practice among the locals to have dogs off leash.
